Event Day Reminders
Meet Time
Arriving on time is crucial to ensure everything runs smoothly. Athletes will meet their coach, start with a short training session, and then warm-up prior to performing
Athlete Drop-Off
Families enter through the gate near reception for ticket scanning. Staff will guide you to the seating and standing area.
Athletes will proceed through the glass reception doors to the white banner floor to meet their Coach(es) for warm-up. You'll have a chance to watch them warm up before performances begin on the black banner floor.
Collecting Athletes
After performances and closing messages, families will be invited onto the floor to take photos with the athletes.
Photos & Videos
Capture and share as many special moments as you like—just turn off your flash! Tag us @shireelitecheer on Instagram or Facebook, and we’ll share your posts to our stories. A professional photographer will also be on-site, and we’ll share all photos for you to download.
Etiquette
- Do not enter or leave the seating area during performances—it’s distracting for teams and inconsiderate to others.
- Put any rubbish in the bin.
- Bathrooms: We have only two bathrooms. Please wait until warm-up starts before using them. Access is through the reception area.
- Bring the all-star cheer spirit—loud cheering and applause are encouraged! 🌟
Coffee & Snack Van
Grab coffee, drinks, and snacks from our coffee van to fuel your day. Don’t miss out on your morning pick-me-up!
Please note, only water is allowed inside the gym—enjoy your food and drinks in the designated areas.

Preparing for Showoffs
BEFORE showoffs
- Double-check your meet time and set an alarm for when to leave.
- Book spectator tickets in advance.
- Prepare all necessary items at least two days before the event.
- Confirm your outfit and any specific attire requirements.
- Remove nail polish and trim nails.
- If tanning, do so two days prior.
- Set a second alarm as a reminder to leave for showoffs.
- Pack your bag with essentials: water, snacks, phone charger, hairspray, brush, and hair elastics.
What to do ON SHOWOFFS DAY
- Remove all jewellery—no exceptions.
- Fuel up with a nutritious snack or meal.
- Pack your bag: include water, snacks, and hair essentials.
- Be on time! Plan ahead to allow for travel and walking to the meet location.
- Follow the hair and makeup guide carefully.
- Arrive dressed in your uniform.
- Wear Shire Elite merch or a plain black jacket/hoodie.
- Grab your water bottle and pre-packed bag before you head out!
- Remember to enjoy the excitement of the day!
