Please park along the surrounding streets or the netball courts. Our driveway will be closed to all cars,
so will not have our usual drop-off via the driveway given the number of athletes and spectators.

Event Checklist
Please read this first to ensure you are prepared and ready BEFORE event day.
What to do BEFORE an event

Check Meet Time & set alarm to leave

Book spectator tickets

Ensure all items are ready 2 days prior

Remove nail polish and trim nails

If tanning, do this 1 - 2 days prior
What to do ON event day

Remove ALL jewellery! No exceptions

You must be ON TIME! Allow ample time to travel, park & walk to the gym

Follow our hair + make-up if applicable

Arrive dressed in your uniform

Wear Shire Elite or plain black jacket/hoodie.

Bring your water bottle
What happens on the day
MEET TIMES
It is super important to arrive ON TIME to meet your coach.
To ensure our athletes are super prepared, we run a warm up and short training session before performing.
ATHLETE DROP OFF
Our families will come through our entry gate near reception for ticket scanning.
Our staff will show you to our seating and standing area.
Athletes will head straight through our glass reception doors to leave belongings and head to our 'White' floor, where they will meet their Coach for warmup.
You'll be able to see them warm up and mark through their routine, before our performances start on our 'Black' floor.
COLLECTING ATHLETES
Once performances and closing messages are complete. You'll be invited onto the floor to take photos with athletes and head home.
FOR SPECTATORS
PHOTOS + VIDEOS
Please take as many photos and videos as you like to share with family and friends. Just be sure to turn off your flash. If you post to Instagram or Facebook, please tag us @shireelitecheer and we'll share them to our stories! We will have a professional photographer on the day and will share all our photos for you to download.
ETIQUETTE
Please DO NOT enter or leave the seating area once performances commence. It's distracting to teams performing and inconsiderate to other families. Lastly, please take ALL rubbish with you.
NO COFFEE ALLOWED IN GYM!
Bathrooms: Please note that we only have 2 bathrooms. With so many athletes entering for warm up we ask that you please wait until after warm-up has started to use the bathrooms. You'll need to come through the reception area to wait.
Don't forget this is all-star cheer, so loud cheering and applause are highly encouraged! 🌟
COFFEE VAN
We will have a coffee van if you'd like to purchase coffee, drinks and snacks.

CHEER TEAMS
THE LOOK
Hair
Very high, slick, straightened ponytail. No waves or curls!
Use straightening irons to straighten hair. Use gel or hair spray so there are no flyaway strands.
Add white scrunchie, ensure it can be seen from front on.

THE LOOK
Makeup
This year, makeup is completely optional. Minimal makeup is allowed such as mascara, light blush, and tidy brows.
We are no longer using a red lipstick. Please do not apply red lipstick for the 2024 season.
