What to do now

TRAVEL
- Current Passport: Must have a return ticket from the USA
- Visa: An ESTA visa is required for Australian passport holders. Click here to apply

SPECTATOR TICKETS
Choose either Spectator tickets for comp only or Commuter packages which includes comp tickets as well as attendance at Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Parade.

 
Commuter packages will be collected before the opening ceremonies along with Athlete wristbands. Please see meet details below.

ATHLETE WRISTBANDS
Athletes will receive a wristband (included in their fees) before the Opening Ceremony. Please see meet details below. This wristband must remain on until the end of the Closing Ceremony.

To stay up to date, ask questions or share information, please use our WhatsApp group — fellow families and athletes are also often able to assist there.

Itinerary

Training Session 

Thursday 22 May
10am-12pm: Island Cheer Elite, 501 Sumner St. #602, Honolulu
Regency, Royalty and Monarchy will train together for a final time before hitting the floor!


Opening Ceremony & Parade of Nations

Friday 23 May

5pm-6pm: Hilton Hawaiian Village2005 Kālia Rd, Honolulu


5pm: Meet to collect Athlete Wristband + Commuter Spectator Passes and take team photos
📍Where
Meet Coaches Kerrin and Liv at the Lagoon near the Hilton Great Lawn (or outside Tapa Ballroom if it rains) at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Wear: Athletes should wear their Shire Elite Hawaii jerseys
Bring: souvenirs, pegs, or other small items to trade during the Cultural Exchange—this is a great chance to meet athletes from around the world
Please advise asap if your athlete will not be attending so we can arrange an early meet time at comp for their wristband. 

6:30pm: Parade of Nations, Cultural Exchange & Opening Ceremony
📍Where: Hilton Great Lawn (or Tapa Ballroom if it rains), Mid Pacific Conference Center - See map below

All athletes are encouraged to attend and we'd love to see families also involved.

NOTE: Only parents and family members with commuter passes can attend the opening ceremony. You must have your pass to enter the Hilton Great Lawn


7pm: Welcome, performances, mini challenges & cultural exchange


7:45pm: Fireworks display to officially open Global Games!

Competition Day Reminders

📌 Please note: Teams will compete BOTH days between 8am-6pm.


Meet Time
Arriving on time is super important so the day runs smoothly! Athletes will meet their coach, have a short training session, then head backstage for warm-up. Once you’ve dropped your athlete off with their Meet Coach, you’re free to grab a coffee or a bite to eat—you’ll next see them shine on the comp floor!

Meet Location

Coaches Liv and Kerrin will be waiting on the left side of main lobby entrance on Kapiolani Boulevard. Competition will be held in Exhibit Hall 3


Collecting Athletes - Youth & Junior Teams

After performing, teams will watch a replay, collect bags, and head to the lobby for collection. Parents must sign out their athlete with staff before leaving.

Spectator Seating
  • Avoid entering or exiting the seating area during performances. 
  • Wait until a routine is finished before moving around
  • Let’s sit together and cheer loud for our teams! Please don’t save seats
  • Take any rubbish with you
  • Wear your Hawaii jerseys and cheer your heart out! 🌺

Awards 🌟
Awards will take place on Sunday 25 May after the last performances. We highly recommend remaining to hear our placings.

Closing Ceremony 

Sunday 25 May

This will include Grand Champions being announced, music, pizza, snacks and a whole lot of fun!!

*Only spectators who purchased the commuter packages will be allowed entry to the closing ceremony. Athletes must keep wristband on for entry.

Preparing for Comp

BEFORE comp

  • Double-check your meet time and set an alarm for when to leave.
  • Book spectator tickets or commuter passes in advance.
  • Reserve parking if required or organise transport
  • Remove nail polish and trim nails.
  • If tanning, do so two days prior.
  • Pack your bag with essentials: water, snacks, phone charger, hairspray, brush, and hair elastics.

What to do ON COMP DAYS

  • Remove ALL jewelery—no exceptions.
  • Fuel up with a nutritious snack or light meal.
  • Be on time! Plan ahead to allow for travel to the meet location.
  • Follow the hair guide carefully. Apply light makeup if preferred.
  • Arrive dressed in your uniform with your Hawaii jersey on top.
  • Grab your water bottle and pre-packed bag before you head out!
  • Remember to enjoy the excitement of competing in Hawaii! 🌸
