What's the difference between the mini teams?

All Mini teams in our Performance program will follow the same class structure and are at the same level (Grade 1).  You can select any day that suits you best.

 

Why is Monarch's selective?

Monarchs is a Novice team which requires additional skills to our Grade 2 teams Regals and Duchess.  Novice is the level before Level 1.

 

What level is Grade 2?

Our Performance teams attend Cheer Brandz events who provide a 'CheerSport' division. This is based on Grades rather than Levels.  Grade 1 & 2 routines are shorter in time and require less tumble than novice.

 

Where is my team from 2023?

We've either renamed your team name to follow our Royalty theme. Or we no longer require a team at that level as the skills and ages of our athletes have changed.

 

Can I keep my current private lesson spot & how do I book?

As our timetable changes each year, we need to update coaches availability. Expressions of interest will be sent out in mid January and if there is availability, we'll then match you to the most suitable coach.

 

Will I still train tumble in my team classes?

Yes, you will train all of your mastered tumble elements in the routine, such as connected skills, standing or running tumble.

 

Do I need to book a Development Tumble Class?

These classes are optional and for working on developing skills outside of team training, where you will perfom skills you've already mastered. Development tumble is to work on building new skills.

 

Will I be going to Nationals?

Our Programs have been designed so that everyone gets a Nationals experience from either CheerBrandz, CheerCon or AASCF events. We've placed the most suitable teams in programs based on ability and lifestyle.

 

Can my child be placed on a Competitive Team instead of Performance Team?

Our Competitive Teams require tumble skills to be mastered in Levels 1 - 5 depending on the team.

Do you accept NSW Active and Creative Kids vouchers?

Absolutely! In order to apply your $50 voucher to your athlete’s fee account, please submit your voucher details using the link on our Submit Vouchers page: https://www.shireelite.com.au/submit-vouchers

 

Once claimed from Service NSW, the credit will then be applied to their fee account & automatically be used towards fees until the full amount of credit is absorbed.


 

My child wants to increase their commitment, what can we do? 

That’s amazing! Here are some of the things your athlete could do, but please remember that this is depending on current availability:

 

1/ Join a second cheer team upon further assessment (Available to Youth, Senior Novice & Competitive Athletes)

2/ Enquire about booking private lessons to further develop skills

3/ Book a weekly development tumble class

 

Can I please enrol my child in a flyers class?

Team Coaches will be trialling athletes in multiple roles within the first few weeks back at training. The selected flyers will then be invited to enrol in a flyers class.

 

What does the registration fee cover?

Our registration fee includes a Shire Elite t-shirt, personal insurance and administration

 

Why am I getting an error when completing additional enrolments?

Our system can not accept the same email address for multiple athletes. You will need to use a different email address for each athletes enrolment and fee subscription.

 

Does my child need to be re-enrolled each year?

Our athletes will enrol for their teams/classes every calendar year. Once enrolment opens, please get in quickly to secure your preferred day for teams/classes as we have limits on the number of athletes in each class. You will also be required to set up a new payment plan each year as the fees do not carry over from year to year.
